Welcome to the Saturday edition of WNBA DFS Lineup Advice, a fantasy basketball column dedicated to finding you the best key players and value picks on today’s slate to build your lineups around.

Well, last night didn’t go as planned. Tuck sucked, Dupree hurt me, and nobody on the Sun really showed up to play last night. There’s no time to lay and lick our wounds though, we have two WNBA games starting at 2 p.m. ET today. Draftkings has split the games into two slates. Fanduel has an all-day tournament and single-game contest for the late game. Let’s jump into the slate, find the best key players and value picks to build our lineups around and go win some money today!!!

WNBA DFS: GOLD COAST, AUSTRALIA – APRIL 13: Liz Cambage of Australia competes in the Women’s semi-final match between New Zealand and Australia during Basketball on day nine of the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games at Gold Coast Convention Centre on April 13, 2018 on the Gold Coast, Australia. Liz Cambage is questionable to play today due to a head injury. The Wings will need all the muscle they can muster when they travel to Atlanta to take on the Dream. The Wings are still 2.5 games ahead of the Aces in the playoff race. Will Liz and the rest of the ladies from Dallas be able to defeat the Dream at home today? Keep reading to find out.

2 p.m. ET   Dallas Wings (14-15)  vs. Atlanta Dream (20-10) 166 O/U ATL-6

DAL – Off rating 106.3  Def rating 102   Pace  81.9   Off ppg  87.3   Def ppg  84

ATL – Off rating  97.3   Def rating 95.8   Pace  81.7   Off ppg  80.5    Def ppg  78.8

Key Players:

Jessica Breland – With Angel McCoughtry out for the season with injury Breland becomes the top option for the Dream. I wish she was playing more minutes per game, but on a short slate full of injuries she may be one of the more reliable plays today. LineStar has her projected to score 32.79 points on Fanduel. I won’t have a lot of exposure to Breland today, and she isn’t safe enough for cash, but she has GPP upside especially if she can rack up a few blocks today.  She makes a solid MVP candidate on DraftKings today if Cambage misses.

Tiffany Hayes – Hayes was a big let down last game, but she has a good chance to bounce back today in a cake matchup with the Wings. I haven’t played Hayes much this season, her price is a little north of where I feel comfortable rostering her. At 7.5K on Fanduel, she needs 45 points to hit 6x value. I don’t see her doing that today, but a game in the mid-thirties is possible. There are plenty of options at guard today, and I feel much better about pivoting down to Alex Bentley or Renee Montgomery in this game.

Liz Cambage – It’s looking like Liz might miss this game after taking a hit to the head during Wednesday’s match with the Sun. It’s a good thing this is the first game on the slate and we should know more before lock. LineStar has her projected to score 39.87 points on Fanduel. If she plays I want a lot of Liz in my lineups today.

Skylar Diggins-Smith – SDS has been experiencing some dizziness lately. She was able to take the court against Connecticut though and put up around 20 fantasy points. She is no longer listed on the injury report on USA Today.com and I do expect her to play today. Dallas still has to clinch their playoff spot and they will need at least one of their stars if they want to beat the Dream today. LineStar has her projected to score 33.94 points on Fanduel today. She could be a sneaky GPP play, her ownership should be low and she has just as much upside as the other stars on the slate.

Value Picks:  Tayler Hill (FD & DK)  Monique Billings (FD & DK) Theresa Plaisance (FD)

WNBA DFS: LAS VEGAS, NV – MAY 27: (L-R) Nia Coffey #12, Lindsay Allen #15, A’ja Wilson #22, Kayla McBride #21 and Tamera Young #1 of the Las Vegas Aces walk on the court after a timeout during the Aces’ inaugural regular-season home opener against the Seattle Storm at the Mandalay Bay Events Center on May 27, 2018 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Aces are desperate for a win. They have lost 5 games in a row and sit on the brink of elimination from the WNBA playoffs. Both teams have lackluster defenses but don’t expect much offense in this game either. I don’t want too much exposure to this game, but there are some pieces to pull from this game that may go well with an early game stack.  Find out who they are below.

10:30 p.m. ET  Indiana Fever (5-25)  vs. Las Vegas Aces (12-18)  167 O/U LV -10.5

IND – Off rating 94.5  Def rating 105.7  Pace 78.9   Off ppg 75.3   Def ppg 84.6

LV – Off rating 99.8    Def rating 103.1    Pace  83.3   Off ppg 83.8   Def ppg 87.1

Key Players:

A’ja Wilson – Wilson is one of my favorite plays on the slate today. Linestar has her projected to score 36.89 points on Fanduel today. I think she goes over 40. There is nobody else I really want as my MVP for this game on DraftKings. The Aces still have a chance to make the playoffs, if Dallas loses in the early game expect Vegas to come out and play hard tonight.

Kayla McBride – I haven’t been on McBride lately but I will be taking a closer look at her today. She get’s a nice matchup and has been taking a good amount of shots from behind the arch. Indiana is weak against the three-pointer, if Kayla’s shot is falling today she should be able to hit value. Plum and Young are both in play today too, I’m leaning towards Young.

Candace Dupree –  Dupree killed most of my lineups last night. She only played 20 minutes and scored four points to go along with five rebounds and one assist. I thought she would play her lion’s share of the minutes last night against her old team, but things didn’t pan out the way I would have liked. She is in a good spot today, and her ownership should be down after yesterday’s performance. There’s not a ton of star power on this slate, especially if Cambage misses. Take your points where you can get them. If you want to pivot down to Achonwa and save some money I can dig it.

Value Picks:  Cappie Pondexter (FD & DK) Dearica Hamby (FD & DK)

Final Thoughts

  1. It’s looking like another tough slate. Yesterday the money line was down to 146.10 on Fanduel. I expect it to be closer to 180 today.
  2. If I am placing side bets today I like Dallas to win on the road and for the late game to barely go over the point total.
  3. It will be hard to start building lineups today until we get more news from Dallas. Billings could get a start today on the other side of the ball, but I’m expecting Atlanta to roll out three guards again.
  4. I’m feeling better about the punts on the slate than I did yesterday, it’s the stars that are harder to count on today. Whether you’re building a stars and scrubs type of lineup, or taking a more balanced approach, there should be plenty of ways to attack this slate.
  5. Injuries that could impact the slate: Liz Cambage (Ques), Damiris Dantas (Ques) Angel McCoughtry (Out),
