Seattle Seahawks – Brandon Marshall

The Seattle Seahawks, to me, look deflated. Many of their stars have parted ways with the franchise. It seemed that Russell Wilson carried the team on his back all of last season and it will be an even bigger struggle this season. However, they have some interesting fantasy options.

If the Seahawks offense looks anything like last season, Russell Wilson will make a lot of throws on the run. Brandon Marshall will serve as a safety blanket for the team. If Marshall is 100 percent, he can definitely make an impact on offense. He could rack up a lot of fantasy points on receptions alone.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Ronald Jones

It is make or break time for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The team is entering its third year under coach Dirk Koetter. After last year’s 5-11 finish, there is a sense of urgency to succeed in the organization. When coaches and players feel the heat, it is interesting to see how they respond. Either the Buccaneers will surprise everyone, or the team may look to clean house next offseason.

The Buccaneers used their early second round pick on Ronald Jones from USC. If you watch tape on him, he is definitely an intriguing player. He has a little bit of Jamaal Charles in his style of play. While he doesn’t have blazing speed, he plants and changes direction very well. He looks as though he glides through openings without losing any speed. I like Jones a lot and will be looking for him to have a big year.
