Jacksonville Jaguars – Niles Paul

The Jaguars surprised a lot of people last season. With a dominant defense and a serviceable offense, the Jaguars won games last season. However, many look to the strength of schedule as a reason for the Jaguars success last season. I think that the Jaguars will look better on both sides of the ball this season. Leonard Fournette will be dominant again this season and the offense has another playmaker that is flying under the radar.

Niles Paul was a wide receiver in college turned tight end. After being trapped behind Jordan Reed and Vernon Davis with the Washington Redskins, Paul has a chance to establish himself as a number one tight end. Blake Bortles is not a world beater and will need all the help that he can get on offense. Niles Paul is a big target in the middle of the field that the Jaguars will need to come through in a big way.

Kansas City Chiefs – Chris Conley

There is a ton of optimism surrounding the Chiefs. Patrick Mahomes has more hype than almost any single player in the NFL from a single fan base. Chiefs fans are ready to make Mahomes the next Brett Favre or Peyton Manning. Everyone needs to calm down a tad.

However, I would be surprised if the Chiefs did not make the playoffs this season with their group of young talent. With the Los Angeles Chargers being cursed with constant injuries, the Chiefs have a good chance of winning the AFC West for the third consecutive year.

The Chiefs may have one of the best arsenals in the NFL. With the addition of Sammy Watkins in the offseason, Patrick Mahomes has a ton of options. Travis Kelce led tight ends in receptions last season and Tyreek Hill is the most explosive player in the NFL. Kareem Hunt was the leading rusher in the NFL last year.

Still, Chris Conley is being slept on. Until his injury, he was the second wide receiver on the depth chart last season. Conley will see a lot of single coverage because of the rest of the talent on offense. Look for Conley to make contested catches in the middle of the field and score fantasy points on receptions.
