8. Nyheim Hines, Indianapolis Colts

Things for the Indianapolis Colts suddenly look a lot brighter with Andrew Luck finally over his injury issues. His presence in the lineup helps raise the fantasy value of the entire roster. Obviously, someone like TY Hilton will get the biggest boost.

However, rookie running back Nyheim Hines could also see a major benefit. Hines is a built in the mold of a scat-back who uses his speed to shoot through gaps and catch the ball out of the backfield.

He is someone who Luck could target on third downs as well as on specifically designed plays.

The Colts loaded up on offensive linemen in the past few drafts. Their interior looks especially strong with rookies Quenton Nelson, Braden Smith and veteran Ryan Kelly. This trio have a chance to be really dominant off the line of scrimmage.

I could easily picture a lot of quick hitters up the middle for Hines that produce big chucks of yardage.

Hines does face some competition for touches with Marlon Mack, Robert Turbin and fellow rookie Jordan Wilkins. Mack is currently dealing with a hamstring issue that needs to be monitored moving forward.

It may be a few weeks until Hines establishes himself so he’s more of a waiver wire candidate.
