2. Ronald Jones, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Buccaneers used a second round pick on Ronald Jones mainly because the team has struggled to get production from the running back spot. They finally moved on from the inconsistent Doug Martin and appear ready to hand Jones the reins.

Jones is an explosive and shifty runner. He does a great job using his quick-twitch ability to quickly shoot through the hole.

His speed gives him the ability to break off long runs. However, he runs behind his pads and low to the ground which helps him run with some toughness. Jones isn’t going to be the bell-cow back, but should get a majority of the touches.

Peyton Barber and Jacquizz Rodgers are his main competition for carries. Their could be some extra carries to be had early in the season with Jameis Winston suspended.

Ryan Fitzpatrick is an accomplished veteran, but tends to get a little turnover prone when asked to do too much.

Tampa Bay has a solid offensive line that should get a boost from free-agent center Ryan Jensen. This group may have some issues in pass protection, but they play with an edge and can open some running lanes.
