5. Georgia Bulldogs – Jake Fromm, QB

The Georgia Bulldogs should have a ton of confidence heading into the 2018 season, especially because they were a play away from winning it all. Like all of the top teams this season, they will reload with great talent.

However, it is easy to tell who the most valuable player on this team is. The nod here goes to Jake Fromm. Fromm showed out in a big way last season after Jacob Eason went down, and nearly turned what looked like a lost season into a season for the ages.

Of course, he didn’t do it alone, but the offense will look very different this season. Isaiah Wynn, Sony Michel, Nick Chubb, and Javon Wims all left for the NFL this past season. This exodus leaves the Bulldogs even more in Fromm’s hands.

The good news is that Fromm showed plenty of reasons why he can be the guy going forward. He showed tremendous poise in both of Georgia’s playoff games, and his confidence should skyrocket heading into 2018. His continued development will be crucial to another deep run, and it would be hard to imagine Georgia winning a championship without Fromm leading the way.
