5. Saquon Barkley, New York Giants

Barkley already gave a glimpse of his potential on his first carry in a Giants uniform. This is a special talent with the ability to be an elite fantasy contributor. It’s not hard to imagine Barkley leading the NFL in yards from scrimmage.

4. Le’Veon Bell, Pittsburgh Steelers

Bell has produced every year he has been healthy and on the field. He continues to be extremely versatile and Pittsburgh’s only real threat out of the backfield. However, his contract situation is a concern and could lead to some issues.

The question is how much more of his body is Bell willing to sacrifice for a franchise that won’t commit to him long term.

3. Ezekiel Elliott, Dallas Cowboys

The suspension question marks surrounding Elliott all last year are finally in the past. He now heads into the season ready to dominate. Elliott figures to yet again be the workhorse for the Cowboys.

It’s pretty scary looking at the Cowboys pass catching options which means Elliott will be leaned on even more.

2. David Johnson, Arizona Cardinals

Players are bouncing back quicker than ever from knee injuries with David Johnson poised to be the latest. He should pick up right where he left off as the Cardinals top playmaker. Johnson will be a major factor in both the run and passing attack.

1. Todd Gurley, Los Angeles Rams

Gurley is the obvious choice to be the No. 1 pick in most fantasy drafts. He plays on an explosive offense that’s willing to give him work as a runner and pass catcher.
