30. Rex Burkhead, New England Patriots

New England’s backfield situation is always a mess to figure out. However, Burkhead filled a specific role last year and performed well. It’s pretty safe to assume he’ll be part of the game plan again this season.

29. Tevin Coleman, Atlanta Falcons

Coleman is still behind Devonta Freeman on the depth chart, but will get some action. He’s a potential boom pick because if Freeman suffers an injury Coleman has top-10 running back potential.

28. Rashaad Penny, Seattle Seahawks

Penny is going to be a part of the game plan almost by default. He was the team’s first round pick in a draft where the Seahawks didn’t have much draft capital. Chris Carson is his main competition for touches, but look for them to share the workload early in the year.

It recently broke that Penny is dealing with a hand injury that will keep him out for up to four weeks. This will play into his fantasy ranking, but his long-term upside keeps him in this range.

27. Isaiah Crowell, New York Jets

The Jets have had some injury issues at the running back spot which has benefited Isaiah Crowell. He is now the lead back by default, but was liking going to have that role anyway. New York’s offensive line is also in solid shape so Crowell could be a real steal this year.

26. Dion Lewis, Tennessee Titans

Lewis will share carries with Derrick Henry which makes it tough to really love his potential. However, Lewis is proven playmaker with the ability to contribute as both a runner and pass catcher.

Tennessee didn’t give him a solid contract in free agency just to sit him on the bench.
