Here are three cheaper starting pitching options for your MLB DraftKings lineup for August 15.

The MLB DraftKings main slate for August 15 features 10 games starting at 7 PM EST. The starting pitching pool isn’t the best with Gerrit Cole and Zack Wheeler as the top two options as we broke down here. If you don’t want to spend on them, there are plenty of other cheap options that can get you close to the same results and save some of your budget.

All three pitchers are priced on DraftKings under $9,000. Compared to Cole at $12,200, the extra savings could be put towards a high-profile player at another position. DFS is about finding the maximum value at the right price. Based on the matchups and price, these three starting pitchers have the right value.

Shane Bieber, $8,300

Bieber has pitched well in five of his last six starts. He has back-to-back 20-plus-point games and faces a Cincinnati Reds offense that is prone to striking out.

The Reds have 109 strikeouts this month, eighth in the league. In that span, the offense has a .249 batting average.

Bieber is prone to give up a couple of runs and Great American Ballpark is a hitter-friendly park. However, he doesn’t give up many walks, just five over his last four starts. With his control, Bieber should be able to induce a few strikeouts.

Jeremy Hellickson, $6,500

Hellickson pitched a no-hitter into the sixth inning. His high pitch count and three straight walks took him out of the game. He posted a 12.4-point game in that start.

Hellickson pitches against the St. Louis Cardinals, a team with a high batting average this month, .306. Though, the team has just 18 home runs in that span.

Hellickson may not strike out many batters like the other two pitchers can but with the defense behind him, he should be able to limit base runners and come out with a win.

Kevin Gausman, $8,700

Gausman makes his third start since joining the Atlanta Braves. He has a 2.77 ERA and 1.077 WHIP in those two games. He will face the Miami Marlins in his third start.

The Marlins traded Justin Bour, one of the few power hitters the team has. The Marlins are hitting .201 with 31 runs scored this month. Gausman held the Milwaukee Brewers to one run over eight innings in his last game. So I expect much of the same in this start.

Gausman, like Hellickson, has a good offense supporting him. With Ronald Acuna crushing every ball pitched at him as well as Freddie Freeman still cruising, Gausman will likely come out with the win.

These three starting pitchers have good matchups, supporting offenses and the skills to quiet their opponents. At their current prices, you should be able to build a solid team and end the day with a little extra cash.
