On Friday night, the Kansas City Chiefs and Atlanta Falcons both aim for their first win of the preseason in a tilt at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
The Kansas City Chiefs and Atlanta Falcons will square off on Friday evening down south, with Patrick Mahomes and Matt Ryan at the controls.
Both teams lost their preseason openers, with the Chiefs going down 17-10 at home against the Houston Texans. The Falcons were subjected to a shutout at the hands of the New York Jets, with the overriding theme coming out of the game centering around Sam Darnold.
Atlanta and Kansas City both made the playoffs last year and have hopes of doing so again. The offenses are loaded to the hilt with playmakers, ranging from Sammy Watkins, Kareem Hunt, Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce to Mahomed Sanu, Julio Jones, Tevin Coleman and Devonta Freeman.

Look for the starters to play somewhere close to a half of football, depending upon how well they get the job done. Kansas City head coach Andy Reid wants to see chemistry develop between Mahomes and his targets, something that was only able to happen for two drives in the preseason opener.
Ultimately, both teams just want to escape with their health. We’ve already seen some serious injuries this preseason with Derrius Guice tearing his ACL, and Nick Foles straining his shoulder (tests forthcoming).
