Fantasy Football 2018: Ranking the top 75 wide receivers
By Jon Dove
50. D.J. Moore, Carolina Panthers
Moore’s preseason debut was a promising development for those considering adding him to their fantasy roster. He finished with four catches for 75 yards while working with the first and second unit.
This will be someone the Panthers look to feed the football. He can attack the deep part of the field while also create in open space. Carolina doesn’t have a tone options at wide receiver so look for Moore to be involved early.
49. Dede Westbrook, Jacksonville Jaguars
Westbrook flashed last year, but is in a very crowded receiver situation with the Jaguars. He could realistically be behind Marqise Lee, Keelan Cole, Donte Moncrief and D.J. Chark by the end of the preseason.
However, it could go in the opposite direction with Westbrook emerging as the No. 2 receiver. This makes his fantasy stock very volatile.
48. Kenny Golladay, Detroit Lions
Golden Tate and Marvin Jones are entrenched as the starting wide receivers. Golladay is going to need to do his damage in multiple receiver sets. The Lions invested a second round pick on Kerryon Johnson which could point to the Lions featuring a more rounded attack.
However, Golladay showed last year that he has the potential to be a major weapon in the red zone.
47. Josh Doctson, Washington Redskins
Health is the key factor when evaluating Doctson’s fantasy value. However, if healthy he could put up some huge fantasy numbers. Doctson only had 35 receptions last year, but six of those were touchdowns.
46. Julian Edelman, New England Patriots
Edelman is suspended for the first four games of the year which obviously hurts his value. It will also be interesting to see how he works with the new weapons on the Patriots roster. However, Tom Brady and Edelman have a long history that should be able to get on track quickly.
