The sixth film is formally titled The Last Sharknado: It’s About Time because it involves not only flying sharks, but time travel. After literally destroying the entire Earth in last year’s fifth movie Global Swarming, the franchise is going completely for broke by giving Fin (Ian Ziering) and his fellow freedom fighters the ability to travel back in time to stop the wildlife from taking a bite out of the planet.

Tara Reid is also back as Fin’s other half April Wexler, while Cassie Scerbo returns as the former bartender turned vigilante, Nova. And given what franchise we’re talking about, TV fans can look forward to at least a few ridiculous cameos from various celebrities, some of whom will probably be eaten.

Everyone knows how these movies go by now, and in adding time travel to the mix, it’s opening the door for all kinds of even crazier plot twists. We’ll have Western sharks, Medieval sharks, we could have 1970s disco sharks. We could even have Left Shark. You never know, and there’s no reason for the actors and writers not to go crazy here, because this is the last one of these that they’re going to do.
