15. Andrew Luck, Indianapolis Colts

If you perceive this ranking as a real hedge against the possibility that Luck may never enjoy another healthy NFL season then you’re exactly right. No one has a clear understanding of where he his health wise. It wouldn’t surprise anyone if Luck made the Pro Bowl this year or missed 15 games.

That makes it pretty difficult for the Colts to craft an offense around him. That’s a large reason they spent their first round pick on Quenton Nelson. He’s someone who can help the Colts’ run game and any quarterback they play. Indianapolis fans will hope he can keep Luck healthy and upright this year.

Even if Luck does enjoy a healthy season, the Colts don’t have a ton of talent to surround him with on offense. Marlon Mack is a fantasy football sleeper, but he isn’t going to be enough to carry this run game all by himself. If the Colts offense is going to be average or better this season, they’ll need Luck to have a big year.

Even if he doesn’t come all the way back physically, he’s a smart enough player to put up decent numbers with smoke and mirrors. That isn’t a reality the Colts want to face, but it does mean they should be one of the more improved teams in football this year.

Don’t expect Luck to throw for over 4,000 yards, but it’s not entirely out of the realm of possibility either. He’s a big time talent with big time questions surrounding his health and durability.
