Lineups
Once again, weāre going to go through this by looking at a couple of popular strategies first and the lineups that I would build using them. After thatās out of the way, weāll get to the main event and what I consider to be the best DraftKings fantasy golf picks and lineup that I can construct for The Northern Trust 2018. But letās start with the stars and scrubs before we get there.
Stars and Scrubs
Dustin Johnson ($11,500)
Jason Day ($10,700)
Stewart Cink ($7,500)
Kevin Tway ($7,100)
Chris Kirk ($6,800)
Jhonattan Vegas ($6,400)
As stated when talking about him, Iām a little bit hesitant about Vegas given his overall play this season. Having said that, heās a wildcard at the bottom of this lineup and was T3 at this tournament last year, meaning thereās upside. With him in the midst of the rest of this lineup, itās hard to not ultimately like what this offers.
Mid-Tier Loadup
Zach Johnson ($8,700)
Patrick Cantlay ($8,600)
Tony Finau ($8,500)
Paul Casey ($8,300)
Tyrrell Hatton ($8,100)
Xander Schauffele ($7,800)
This is actually even more balanced than normal for the mid-tier loadup, but I love that 8,000-9,000 tier this week and the upside these players offer along with a bit of stability. Frankly, you can enter this lineup in most any type of contest and feel confident that you wonāt be losing any money.
My Ideal DraftKings Golf Lineup
Tiger Woods ($10,100)
Justin Rose ($9,900)
Zach Johnson ($8,700)
Stewart Cink ($7,500)
Kevin Tway ($7,100)
Abraham Ancer ($6,700)
With the value plays here, I love the upside that Cink, Tway and Ancer offer. Meanwhile, I think the top three guys are all going to finish at least in the top 15, if not better. As such, I think this is a monster lineup with huge potential this week in DraftKings at The Northern Trust.
