Fantasy- 32 Teams in 32 Days: The Dallas Cowboys
By Matt Mikolas
Fantasy Football Off-Season Overview – Dallas Cowboys
Going into Dak Prescott’s third season, the focus will be showing that the Dallas Cowboys offense doesn’t necessarily go as Ezekiel Elliott goes.
The Cowboys made an investment in their passing game, drafting wide receiver Michael Gallup in the second round, and bringing in free agent WR Allen Hurns from Jacksonville.
Jerry Jones even added Tavon Austin, stating that Dallas wants to make him a large part of the offense.

Combine all that with future hall of fame tight end Jason Witten moving on to the broadcast booth, and you have a passing game in Dallas that will look totally different from it has the last few years.
But the offense really falls in line with what Ezekiel Elliott does. When he’s playing, the offense goes. And seeing as there aren’t any suspensions looming, barring injury, Zeke should have another big year.
I Gotta Get Me One of Those!
It feels like I’m cheating you out of this section, simply because Elliott is such a no brainer, it’s just really obvious. He’s my 4th ranked running back, and you should take him in the first round. This isn’t one to over think.
Buyer Beware
Not that you were going to anyway, but I just want to save you. Jerry Jones really talked up how the Cowboys want to use Tavon Austin. I’m sure the Rams had similar ideas when Jeff Fisher gave Tavon a 4 year, 42 million dollar extension in 2016.
Austin had 317 total yards from scrimmage last year.
If you even had a THOUGHT of temptation of taking Austin in your draft this year … just don’t.
Stay Woke
I think Michael Gallup has a chance to be the most productive of all the rookie wide receivers this season.
Opportunity and talent combine into a perfect storm for Gallup, who should step into the Dez Bryant role in Dallas’ offense by mid-season. I believe Allen Hurns is limited by his potential, but the sky’s the limit for Gallup.
