Arsenal host West Ham at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday, August 25. Here’s all the info you need to watch.
Arsenal have had a rough start under new coach Unai Emery although much of that is a function of the difficult schedule that had them face off against Manchester City and Chelsea in their first two games. The home game against West Ham is the one that Emery will look to as his first Premier League win, a much result much needed to instill some confidence and stave off the early criticism. Emery will be without youngster Ainsley Maitland-Niles for six weeks after picked up a stress fracture on his left leg against City. Sead Kolasinac is also struggling with a knee problem while Carl Jenkinson and Laurent Koscielny are both out injured.
It will be interesting to see whether Emery decides to play both Alexander Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in a 4-3-3 formation or whether he will stick with the 4-2-3-1.
Visiting West Ham are also yet to pick up a point since Manuel Pellegrini took over at the London Stadium. There are rumors that Pellegrini is considering dropping the Hammers captain Mark Noble in order to shake things up as well as to give his team a more dynamic, fluid feel in the midfield.
