The weather should be good to go for all of our west coast games today with just the normal wind in San Francisco going on. Enjoy it!
We will provide you with several options to build your lineup here. Want to spend all your money on pitchers and play bargain bats? We will highlight who is worth the money. Want to punt arms and pay up for the big boppers? We can help you with that as well, and everything in between!
These tips are based mostly on past performance. This is a nice tool for building a lineup, but should not be the only pieces of information you use. We have plenty of writers on here who give you relevant information no matter which site you play on!

Top Tier:
Zack Greinke ($10,300): The Mariners have hit .264 against Greinke, but they only have three homers and 11 runs in 125 at bats. The bad news? Greinke only has 17 strikeouts! That said, Greinke has dominated at home this year. He has a 2.34 ERA in 13 home starts this year. Greinke may not get the strikeout total that we want, but pitching is thin on this slate, and Greinke is very clearly the best option.
Hyun-Jin Ryu ($9,200): Ryu gave up his first runs of the year at home in his last start, and honestly didn’t look all that sharp against the Cardinals. It should be a different story against the Padres. The Padres have a ton of right handed power, but they also strike out a whole lot. The Padres are hitting just .171 in 41 at bats against Ryu with only one homer and three runs to go with 12 strikeouts. I like Ryu to get back on track here.
Middle Tier:
Felix Pena ($7,300): The only reason that Pena is on here is the strikeout upside. He struck out a dozen in his last start, but man, the Astros are cooking right now. I wont touch this, but if you want a contrarian GPP play, here you go!
Bargain Pitchers:
Yovani Gallardo ($5,300): Gallardo’s numbers against the Giants aren’t that great, but San Francisco only scored five runs in a game that Martin Perez started. This offense is scuffling, and Gallardo does have a pretty solid 3.81 ERA in four career starts at AT&T Park. I see decent potential here for Gallardo, especially at this low of a price.
Top Tier:
Framber Valdez was strong in his major league debut, but the Angels are getting healthy. Mike Trout is back, so he is a must play here. I also like Andrelton Simmons and the power potential of Jabari Blash if he cracks the lineup. You could play Albert Pujols, but he isn’t the hitter he used to be.
I like Felix Pena, and the strikeout upside is very real. However, The Astros scored eight runs for the fourth time in the last six games last night. This team is healthy, and this time is raking. Jose Altuve is the must-have here. Carlos Correa is worth a look, but I find myself leaning more towards Marwin Gonzalez and Josh Reddick. Tyler White is also a beast right now. There is no way I would start Pena. He may strike out a dozen again, but he is going to give up way too many runs.
The Dodgers have hammered Robbie Erlin so far. Erlin has pitched well, and the Dodgers are notorious for disappearing when I stack them, but it’s hard to ignore all of this right handed power. Justin Turner and Manny Machado are at the top of my wish list. Chris Taylor, Matt Kemp, and Yasiel Puig aren’t far behind. Erlin will get back on track next week, but this week could be ugly.
Mike Leake has not fared well against Arizona, but most of the damage is done by the usual suspects. Pollock and Goldschmidt have a combined two homers and six RBI off of Leake. Eduardo Escobar and his hot bat are worth a look as well.

Middle Tier:
The only Giant I have any interest in is Andrew McCutchen. Cutch is 19-55(.345) with four homers and eight RBI in his career against Gallardo.
Wil Myers has the homer off of Ryu so far, but I wouldn’t blame you if you took a shot with Renfroe or Margot either.
If you really want to go after Greinke, Nelson Cruz and Denard Span have homered against Greinke. Cameron Maybin has as well, and he is super cheap.
Bargain Shoppers:
Why are the Rangers so cheap? Derek Holland has been decent at home, but I’m not paying eight grand for him. I don’t care where he’s pitching. Both Elvis and Adrian Beltre have homered off of Holland, and they are both cheap. Odor has homered off of Holland, and he homered yesterday. He is also reasonably priced.
