Predicting when every NHL team will win its next Stanley Cup

It’s a good time to be a Philadelphia Flyers fan.
The City of Brotherly love is finally figuring it out, and how to produce a Stanley Cup champion through the draft – and in large thanks to general manager, Ron Hextall. Similar to other teams on this list, Philadelphia has the right mix of veteran and youthful assets that could create a consistent winning formula over the next handful of seasons and beyond.
Defensemen Shayne Gostisbehere and Ivan Provorov are potential Norris Trophy finalists, and young forward Travis Konecny is a 30 goal-scorer in the making. The important key here is the two blue liners mentioned, who will backbone Philly to a title.
Combine those skaters with the likes of the reacquired James van Riemsdyk who’s in his prime, with Claude Giroux, Wayne Simmonds and Jakub Voracek – and the makeup is there for a title.
While it’s been a broken record since 1998, Philadelphia still needs to figure out its goaltending situation. Or, has that aspect been answered and it’s just a waiting game for the Flyers?
It’s finally been solved, and fans will be bale to rely on goaltender Carter Hart to be “the guy” Philadelphia has been waiting two decades for since their GM last took the team as its (then) goaltender to the Cup Final in ’98.
Hart, a 2016 second-round draft pick, has already experienced the necessary exposure on the big stage while helping Team Canada win gold at the 2018 World Junior Championship, and the Flyers have done a solid job at not forcing his potential in net for Philly.
The Flyers’ next Cup victory is in 2021.
