DraftKings fantasy golf picks: Dell Technologies Championship 2018
8,000-9,000
Patrick Cantlay ($9,000)
Though he hasn’t played all that often, you can’t ignore how well Cantlay has played when on the course of late. He has finished T15 or better in four of his last five starts, and his one finish outside that mark was still T27. Coming off a T8 last week, he might be worth this higher price on DraftKings.
Hideki Matsuyama ($8,900)
After surviving a sub-par year by his standards, Matsuyama looks to be rounding into form. He finished T11 at the Wyndham after a blistering weekend and then went T15 last week. Though I’m still wary given his year as a whole, his talent is undeniable if he’s righted the ship.
Tony Finau ($8,800)
Finau finished outright second last week at The Northern Trust and looks primed to really make his presence known in the FedEx Cup Playoffs. He has four top-10s in his last seven starts, including two top-five finishes. As such, he’s likely worth the price.
Bryson DeChambeau ($8,700)
Fresh off of his emphatic win last week, DeChambeau is atop the FedEx Cup standings. While consistency has sometimes been spotty with the polarizing player, there’s no questioning his confidence and talent, which he could use with momentum to stay hot.
Tommy Fleetwood ($8,500)
All Fleetwood does is make cuts, missing only two in 27 starts this year. What’s more, he’s established himself as a top player in the world at this point, and finished T20 last week at The Northern Trust. I like for him to have a good week at the Dell Technologies Championship.
Webb Simpson ($8,300)
Simpson has been in the top 30 in each of his last five starts, including a T2 at the Wyndham two weeks ago. He’s been playing some of the best golf of his career this season and this price on DraftKings makes him intriguing to slide into your lineup if he can keep it up.
Phil Mickelson ($8,200)
Cast Mickelson’s missed cut at the PGA Championship aside, he’s been overall great this year, and showed it with a T15 last week. As he’s gearing up for the Ryder Cup and for The Match with Mr. Woods, we could see him start to really buckle down and be in top form.
Billy Horschel ($8,100)
We saw Horschel get hot when the FedEx Cup Playoffs came around last year, and it might be happening again. After going T11 at the Wyndham, Horschel was a force last week as he finished tied for third. If he’s hot again, getting him at this price is a steal.
