5. Tevin Coleman gets less touches than Devonta Freeman, but produces

The Atlanta Falcons have had a strong two-headed running attack for the past few years. Devonta Freeman has been the most productive and has received a larger portion of the touches. However, Tevin Coleman continues to impress when given an opportunity.

Coleman is a quicker and more explosive player than Freeman. Thus, he is more likely to break off long runs and produce big-plays.

Freeman has seen a heavy workload throughout his career. In the past three seasons, he touched the ball at an average of over 220 times. It’s that type of wear and tear that takes a toll on a running backs body.

The impact of all those touches started to surface last year as Freeman dealt with injury issues late in the season.

Coleman is ready to take advantage of any opportunities thrown his way. Last year the two finished tied with eight touchdowns. Freeman did most of his damage on the ground while Coleman was more versatile.

There’s no reason to doubt Coleman can be a fantasy monster if giving more work. He has already flashed his potential a number of times during his career.
