2. Dallas Goedert becomes fantasy relevant by Week 5

Zach Ertz has developed into an elite tight end, but he has also missed some time in each of the past three seasons. Those injuries helped Trey Burton see the field and earn himself a big-money deal with the Chicago Bears.

Philadelphia has since replaced Burton with rookie second-round pick Dallas Goedert. The big rookie has shown major promise during the preseason and is inline to see action when the season begins.

It’s going to take some time for Goedert to adjust to the NFL game, but he has more than enough talent to become a factor in fantasy football this year. We saw Burton become relevant last year after hauling in five touchdowns.

The Eagles like to use multiple tight end sets and won’t hesitate to get Goedert on the field. This will especially be the case if Alshon Jeffery misses time early in the year. Don’t be surprised if Goedert develops into a major red zone threat as a rookie.

Philadelphia is a little short on size when it comes to its pass catchers. Jeffery and Ertz are the only bigger targets on the roster. This is just another reason to keep an eye on Goedert.
