After a day of barbecuing to end the holiday weekend and put the summer to rest, what is a better treat than an evening ACC game between two of the best the conference has to offer? The Seminole crowd should be out in full swing with students on campus already. This game will have all eyes on it.

The betting odds for this matchup, have it set as a possible one-sided clash. The ‘Noles are 7.5 point favorites, according to Bet365. This is a surprising line given the change at the coaching staff for Florida State and the stability Virginia Tech has entering the season. Las Vegas clearly sees the Hokies as an inferior opponent for the Seminoles.

One thing that Las Vegas seems confident in is that both teams will score points. Both teams have shown firepower on the offensive side of the ball and return starting quarterbacks. Bet365 has the over/under set at 56.5. That is the highest over/under point total set for the ranked games we will see this weekend. Given the talent on defense and it being such an early-season battle, the under is an intriguing option for this game.
