Indiana Pacers — Mike Epps

To grow into the comedian and actor he is today, Mike Epps had to leave his home state of Indiana. Don’t get it twisted, though: he still rocks the blue and gold.

As Epps has gone Hollywood, his fandom has remained blue collar. While back in town for a comedy show, Epps stopped by to watch his team face off against the Cleveland Cavaliers back in 2017. Epps recounted on some of his favorite memories growing up watching the Pacers, specifically with Reggie Miller and going way back to Billy Knight.

Later in the season, when Indiana was facing Cleveland in the playoffs once again. While in Indiana, Epps said he likes to give back to the community, donating some of his time to the local schools. He, of course, likes to come back when the Pacers are playing, too.

Epps dropped a classic line, saying “gold is for the honeys, blue is for the money.”

That doesn’t necessarily line up with Indiana’s “blue collar, gold swagger” moniker, but seeing as though Epps is really Indiana’s only true celebrity fan, they are just going to have to roll with it.

Living in Los Angeles and performing so often, Epps doesn’t attend too many Pacers games in a season. But when he does show up, he always has control of the sidelines. Whether he’s sitting courtside or under the basket, fans always know where Mike Epps is.
