Minnesota Timberwolves — Jesse Ventura

Jesse Ventura is a very accomplished man. After serving in the United States Navy and fighting in the Vietnam War — winning two service metals, Ventura found a new platform to fight: professional wrestling.

Ventura was involved in the wrestling world for over 30 years, and then yet again found another battlefield: politics.

Ventura got involved in Minnesota politics in the 90s, and became the state’s 38th governor in 1999. He served one four-year term.

Before his governorship, however, Ventura actually tried out to be the Timberwolves PA announcer and lost out to Rod Johnson — who ended up holding the job for 21 years.

Before that, Ventura was simply a Wolves fan. Ventura regularly held the sidelines down, energizing his fellow Wolves fan around him.

Ventura has gotten back into politics and doesn’t make many appearances at Target Center anymore. But his past as a Wolves fan is enough to allow him to hold this spot.
