1. Kansas City Chiefs

Although head coach Andy Reid has struggled in the playoffs, he always produces high-end offenses due to his ability to incorporate new offensive designs. Quarterback Patrick Mahomes is supremely talented, but Reid would make him productive even if he wasn’t so physically gifted. And he’s never had a surrounding cast like he does in 2018.

The running game and the scheme that comes off Kareem Hunt’s presence massively affects how defenses line up, and then react to the horizontal action. Reid is masterful with his deception with motion but that’s not to discredit Hunt’s amazing balance through contact. He’s not an explosive athlete but he bounces off tackles and manipulates angles better than all but a handful of backs in the league.

Two terrific receivers in Tyreek Hill and Sammy Watkins will not only help Mahomes, but also Travis Kelce’s impact will remain high. The speed on this unit is tops in the league, and Watkins gives the Chiefs a well-rounded option. They’re the best overall offensive surrounding cast entering the year because they can challenge every layer of the defense with a premier coach.
