8. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The one thing that no one can say about the Tampa Bay Buccaneers is that they’ve been cheap trying to build an explosive surrounding cast for quarterback Jameis Winston. Though Winston will miss the first four games of this season, he’ll return to a unit that boasts two tremendous big-bodied receivers who dominate at the catch point in Mike Evans and Chris Godwin, and speedster Desean Jackson.

He also has the best tight end duo in the league. O.J. Howard and Cameron Brate are balanced, impactful players as receivers and blockers. Whether in 12 or 11 personnel, the Buccaneers always have great talent on the field.

What holds this team back from being higher is uncertainty at running back, left tackle, and right guard. Running back Ronald Jones yielded the job to the less explosive Peyton Barber, and third-round pick Alex Cappa must continue to develop before he locks in at right guard. The personnel is there for this unit to jump even higher, but their youth has created more uncertainty than I like to move them up.
