6. Los Angeles Rams

Parsing out the top surrounding casts at this point gets difficult. At worst the Los Angeles Rams had a consistently top-three offensive scheme last year. Yes, Jared Goff, Todd Gurley, and the rest of this offense is oozing with talent, but Sean McVay was masterful to turn what was a broken offense in 2016 into an elite unit in 2017.

2017 Offensive Player of the Year Todd Gurley and receiver Robert Woods return as offensive leaders, and the addition of Brandin Cooks will help replace the impact that Sammy Watkins had on defenses. Watkins is better than Cooks despite his lack of targets, but Cooks is a more nature deep threat to open up underneath receivers.

The biggest reason why the Rams aren’t higher is the lack of a star tight end, and a slightly worse pass-blocking than the upcoming teams. But the scheme is elite, and they can go toe-to-toe with anyone.
