4. Philadelphia Eagles
The biggest storyline of the 2017 season was how well the Philadelphia Eagles did by overhauling their offensive personnel and implementing their scheme. Head coach Doug Pederson has perfectly integrated run-pass options to alleviate the strain on his quarterbacks. Between the playmakers, elite offensive line, and scheme, the quarterback doesn’t have to do heavy lifting often.
The weapons on this offense extends from the backfield, to tight end, to the receivers. Jay Ajayi is an above-average back capable of being a bell cow, and Corey Clement has proven to be a high-end receiving threat. The run game keeps this offense humming and the threat of it reduces the stress on the passing game significantly.
Tight ends Zach Ertz and Dallas Goedert pair with Alshon Jeffery and Nelson Agholor as one of the strongest top-fours in the league for pass catchers. Even speedsters Mike Wallace and Mack Hollins are slightly overqualified for their small roles. This will be another big year for the Eagles’ offense with all of this talent.
