The first Saturday of the 2018 college football season is here, which means College GameDay signs are back. Here are the best from Michigan vs. Notre Dame.

There was really no more obvious choice for the opening week of the 2018 college football season for where ESPN’s College GameDay should be heading. Despite a loaded slate of action to start the year, the best choice was clearly to head to South Bend where the Notre Dame Fighting Irish will take on the Michigan Wolverines on Saturday night.

This matchup has everything that you could possibly want when it comes to College GameDay. You have two of the more interesting teams in the country with Notre Dame and Michigan, first off. But then you also have an old-school rivalry that will add a new chapter. And if that weren’t enough, these are two of the most passionate fanbases in the country, meaning the GameDay signs are sure to be winners.

There is no love lost between these two teams, but there’s also plenty of fodder for fans to use. Both head coaches in Brian Kelly and Jim Harbaugh are easy targets to take aim at. More than that though, you can also look at how both teams have somewhat under-achieved in recent years given the lofty standards for each program. As such, the GameDay signs were a can’t-miss aspect for Week 1.

And with that let’s take a look at the best College GameDay signs from Michigan vs. Notre Dame in Week 1 of the 2018 season (these will update throughout Saturday morning).

This is clearly a great way to get the College GameDay signs off to a strong start in 2018. And really, the hope is that it sets the tone for a great overall season in this regard. Regardless, we’re just thankful that Michigan and Notre Dame were ready to bring the noise right out of the gate.
