No. 6 Tyrell Williams, WR, Los Angeles Chargers

The Chargers are in a good situation as far as the depth of their wide receiver group. Keenan Allen and second-year player Mike Williams are healthy. Speedy Travis Benjamin is back in the mix as a deep threat.

All the options in Los Angeles means that someone like Tyrell Williams may struggle to get targets. However, if you take a closer look there’s a chance he could be one of those important waiver wire pickups.

Allen’s health is always a question mark as he has always struggled staying healthy. He has had a wide array of injuries including knee and shoulder problems.

His willingness to go across the middle opens him up to big hits. Allen is also an aggressive player who will attack the ball at its highest point. Basically, he puts his body at risk often and hasn’t been able to completely hold up.

Williams is in a similar situation having missed significant time in college and as a rookie. He obviously has major upside, but he needs to stay on the field and develop his game.

This is a young wide receiver who is far from a finished product. The Chargers are hoping to make a playoff run and might want to lean more on Tyrell Williams. Another factor working in Tyrell’s favor is the season ending injury suffered by Hunter Henry.
