The ACC will highlight two of their best on Monday night’s premier matchup to wrap up the opening weekend of college football and here is how to watch it.
To put a cap on the opening week of college football, the Virginia Tech Hokies will travel to Florida to take on the Florida State Seminoles. Labor Day will wind down with two of the best the ACC has to offer under the lights in Tallahassee. These two top 25 teams will look to get a leg up on a run at the conference title.
Florida State will be under the leadership of new coach Willie Taggart. After Jimbo Fisher resigned at the tail end of last season, the Seminoles pegged Taggart as their next head coach poaching him away from the Oregon Ducks. He’s got big shoes to fill with Fisher leading the team to the 2013 National Championship during his nine-year tenure. The Seminoles return 12 starters to a team that was a disappointment a year ago. With quarterback Deandre Francois being the biggest boost on the field, hopes are high for this team.
Across the field, coach Justin Fuente will have his starting quarterback, Josh Jackson back and looking improve as a passer. Overall the team returns 12 starters, mostly on offense. The defense will replace at least one player on every level that will now be playing on Sundays. Fuente and company will need to wipe away the late season demise of his squad in 2017-18.
Details for Monday night’s game are below:
Date: Monday, Sept. 3
Start Time: 8:00 p.m. ET

The two teams seem a long way from when Frank Beamer and Bobby Bowden were roaming the sideline. Both coaches return to the field as honorary captains for Monday’s night game. If the weather holds, which it is currently forecasted to, the fans are in for a treat with two great teams squaring off.
