Winner: Auburn Tigers (No. 9 up to No. 7)

Honestly, it was difficult to choose between Tigers here. The LSU Tigers were also one of the biggest winners of the week, thrashing No. 8 Miami to move up a decent amount in the rankings and even the Virginia Tech Hokies got some consideration after dominating No. 19 Florida State on the road to start the season.

Auburn, though, was just a slightly bigger winner because it moves one step closer to the top five with a win over No. 6 Washington. Getting in early position can only set the Tigers up for success later on as long as they keep winning.

Despite winning in a low-scoring affair, Jarrett Stidham still managed 273 yards and a touchdown and looked like the Heisman contender we all expected him to be.

Auburn won the wild and wacky game 21-16 thanks to a Washington offensive pass interference in the second half on a touchdown in the red zone which brought the Huskies back and they ended up settling for a field goal try and missing.

Kam Martin and the run game didn’t quite get off the ground, but Washington’s defense is legit and the Auburn defense played well, only allowing 102 rushing yards to Myles Gaskin and Co.
