Defensive Tackle. Clemson. Dexter Lawrence. 8. player. 46.

The Indianapolis Colts were holding their breath for the past two years, as they hoped that star quarterback Andrew Luck would eventually make his way back to  the starting lineup. Luck, who is one of the best  young quarterbacks in the NFL, had surgery on his throwing shoulder, and for a while there, could not even throw a tennis ball.

Luck made his return to the lineup this summer, and he looks to be ready to go in 2019. The only problem with that is the AFC South is absolutely loaded, so even though they will be improved with him under center, I just do not see a way that they come out of that division, especially with such a young roster.

The Colts did do a good job during the 2018 NFL Draft in bringing in people to protect Luck, as they spent a first round pick on Quenton Nelson, and a second rounder on Braden Smith. In 2019, they should look to bring in someone to bolster the other side of the line, and Dexter Lawrence is as good as it gets at defensive tackle in this draft class.

Lawrence is a member of that elite defensive line in Clemson, and outside of Ed Oliver, he is the elite defensive tackle in this draft class. He would give the Colts an incredible force in the middle of their defensive line, and is someone who can come in and make big plays right from the start.
