Quarterback: Jared Goff, Los Angeles Rams

@ Oakland Raiders 10:20 pm Monday 9/5

FanDuel Cost: $7,500

Jared Goff is entering his second year leading Sean McVay’s offensive attack. Another year means a better feel for the game plan which is bad news for the rest of the league. The Los Angeles Rams also added another explosive weapon in Brandin Cooks to the mix.

Goff’s week one matchup is very favorable for fantasy purposes. The Raiders have issues in their secondary and are now without their top defender Khalil Mack.

Grabbing Goff at a FanDuel cost of $7,500 will give you room in your budget to spend big at other positions. This is not only a sound option, but it also provides a level of safeness that will keep you in the game.

Backup Option: Philip Rivers, Los Angeles Chargers

vs. Kansas City Chiefs 4:05 pm Sunday

FanDuel Cost: $7,500

Rivers is another quarterback who has a good matchup for week one. The Chiefs secondary looked awful in the preseason and have struggled to replace Marcus Peters. Eric Berry’s status for the opener is also in question.

The Chargers have some exciting options in the passing game. Keenan Allen remains one of the better receivers in the league and now will now have a healthy Mike Williams working on the opposite side of the field.
