Flex: Mike Williams, Los Angeles Chargers

vs Kansas City Chiefs 4:05 pm Sunday

FanDuel Cost: $5,400

Based on how my lineup shook out I need to limit my spending at the Flex position. My thinking here was to go with a high-upside play in Mike Williams. He’s one of my top breakout wide receiver options and has a good matchup in week one.

The Chiefs secondary has more than a few question marks. They are rolling with a starting cornerback duo of Kendall Fuller and Steve Nelson. Most of Kansas City’s focus will be on shutting down Keenan Allen.

This will create a more favorable matchups for someone like Williams. His size and leaping ability will especially get utilized in the red zone.

I’m also factoring in that this is Patrick Mahomes first start since the Chiefs traded Alex Smith. He’s a very aggressive player who doesn’t have much experience. The Chargers defense should be able to force him into some mistakes which will give their offensive more possessions.

Backup Option: Anthony Miller, Chicago Bears

@ Green Bay Packers 8:20 pm Sunday

FanDuel Cost: $5,400

Miller has been one of the bigger stories of the Chicago Bears training camp. He has showed well in pratices which has earned him the No. 3 wide receiver job. The Bears are expected to have more explosive offense under Matt Nagy which will look to utilize Miller’s skill set.
