Cavaliers should give Tyler Ulis a chance

Tyler Ulis has the talent to play in the NBA, but he’s been stuck in no-man’s land ever since he was drafted. Hopefully, the Cavs can give him a shot.
Tyler Ulis has been stuck in the NBA’s version of purgatory ever since he was drafted in the NBA by the Phoenix Suns in 2016.
It’s actually amazing that Ulis has gone this long without an NBA team. Playing for the Suns, Ulis showed that he has the talent to play in the big boys league.
As part of their plan to purge themselves of their recent losing culture, the Suns waived Ulis this summer, and the talented Kentucky point guard is now searching for a new NBA home before the season.
He could get his chance in Northeast Ohio, according to HoopsHype’s Alex Kennedy.
The Cleveland Cavaliers have been on a roster re-tool of their own, mainly due to the fact that LeBron James went Hollywood. Their point guard position, though, has been pretty weak every since they caved into Kyrie Irving’s trade demand, and the team could use a starting point guard who can create his own shot and create opportunities for his teammates.

Ulis could fit that bill, and the Cavs did the right thing by inviting him for a tryout.
Ulis and the Cavs would actually make for a nice fit. With King James gone, and Kevin Love now becoming the focal point of the offense, change will be in the air, and head coach Tyrone Lue would love to speed up the tempo with the greyhounds he has.
No point guard currently left without an NBA home right now fits that bill more than Ulis, and Cleveland could provide the perfect place for Ulis to revitalize his career. Cleveland should definitely give this man a shot for the upcoming season.
