3. Aaron Rodgers will fall outside the top-5 of quarterbacks in Week 1

Ever since taking over as starting quarterback for the Green Bay Packers Aaron Rodgers has owned the Chicago Bears. This has especially been true in prime time matchups like this Sunday night.

Things changed a little this week when the Chicago Bears traded for Khalil Mack. Their defense suddenly got a lot more dangerous. This weekend will be their chance to make a statement.

Adding Mack gives the Bears an elite pass rusher off the edge. He’s a true difference maker who will bring an immediate spark. The rest of Chicago’s defense isn’t to shabby with Leonard Floyd, Akiem Hicks adding to the pass rush.

Chicago is bringing back their entire starting secondary which showed major improvements last year. At linebacker, Danny Trevathan is healthy and rookie Roquan Smith should see some action.

This prediction isn’t saying that Rodgers will have a terrible outing. However, it’s saying that at least five other quarterbacks will have better fantasy performances in Week 1. Some names to consider include Philip Rivers, Drew Brees, Tom Brady and Kirk Cousins.

Obviously, if you drafted Rodgers you almost have to start him. Just be prepared that he might not have his typically high fantasy output.
