Will we see the same Danny Rand in Iron Fist season 2? Hardly.

The Marvel Netflix hero who arguably has been through the most growth from the time we first met him has a new mission, protecting New York (after promising Matt Murdock he would) instead of trying to destroy The Hand. Behind the scenes, the new season has a new showrunner, new additions to the cast and new people in charge of the action sequences.

That should help kickstart a series that was met with the most indifference of any of the Marvel Cinematic Universe shows on Netflix. It might also help that season 2 is just 10 episodes instead of 13, which should help move the story along at a faster pace.

Still, 10 more hours of superhero action should be plenty of fun, especially if Danny continues to progress from the somewhat bratty, definitely repetitive young man with a singleminded focus.
