Marcus Mariota and the Tennessee Titans visit Hard Rock Stadium to take on the Miami Dolphins on Sunday in Week 1 of the 2018 NFL regular season.
Ryan Tannehill and the Miami Dolphins open Week 1 of the 2018 NFL regular season hosting the Tennessee Titans. The focus will be on Tannehill after the Dolphins put yet more weapons around the quarterback who has yet to reach his full potential.
Those weapons include former New England Patriots catch machine Danny Amendola. He is joined by ex-Kansas City Chiefs deep threat Albert Wilson.
Together, Amendola and Wilson can help offset the loss of Jarvis Landry, who joined the Cleveland Browns. Landry was Tannehill’s favorite target but with Wilson and Amendola joining Kenny Stills, there are enough playmakers in the passing game.
The Dolphins can move the ball, but their own D’ will be under the spotlight when the unit attempts to stifle Marcus Mariota. Tennessee’s dual-threat quarterback is a source of big plays whenever he takes off to run.
Even so, Mariota must show he can improve his accuracy and ability to read defenses this season. Count on Miami leaning on edge-rushers Robert Quinn and Cameron Wake to try and keep Mariota in the pocket.
