Larry Fedora – North Carolina

The North Carolina Tar Heels finished 2017 with a 3-9 record and kicked off 2018 with a loss. Larry Fedora’s been around long enough that the losses aren’t going to be overlooked and a change will be made if this keeps happening.

The Tar Heels began their 2018 season by flying across the country and losing to the Cal Golden Bears. They made it a close game in the second half but a slow start ultimately kept them from getting a win on the road.

Now, they’re on the road again for a second-straight week and this time it will be a much closer trip against East Carolina. East Carolina is coming off of a loss at home to NC A&T, which means they’re coming at a good time for the Tar Heels.

If Fedora can bounce back and see his program pick up a win this week, then Week 1 looks like just a tough loss on the road. If they drop the game to East Carolina, then suddenly it’s a 0-2 record and the questions will continue to mount.

Fedora needs to get this turned out right away and a victory Saturday will be a step in the right direction. They can’t overlook East Carolina either, given the nature of a blowout 70-41 loss in 2014.
