Rams To Roll?

Gruden’s Raiders are the home team, but Vegas has installed the Rams as a 4.5-point favorite Monday night (via Oddsshark). Accounting for the general thought that home field is worth a three-point tilt, the Rams would be among the most lopsided favorites this week if they were at home instead. As it is only six point spreads are greater around the league this week.

Odds

Line: Rams (-4.5)
Over/Under: 49.5

The 49.5 over/under for Rams-Raiders is tied for the second-highest on the NFL slate this week, tied with Buccaneers-Saints and behind only Texans-Patriots (51). That’s a nod to how good Los Angeles’ offense is, along with how bad the Raiders defense will be now without its best player.

A high score on Monday night in Oakland might be driven purely by the Rams for three quarters, then garbage time from there on out to allow the Raiders to produce some points and make the game look closer than it actually will be. But over/under bettors won’t care how the total gets there, as long it hits the side they bet on.
