Loser: USC Trojans (No. 17 down to No. 22)

It was only a matter of time before freshman quarterback JT Daniels had his ‘welcome to college football’ moment, and that came on Saturday against Stanford.

After impressing in the opener, Daniels had a rough Week 2 showing against the Cardinal, passing for 215 yards. That may not seem like the worst performance, but he had two interceptions and completed just 16-of-34 passes in the process. He looked like a deer in headlights often against the Cardinal defense.

Stanford has proven to be the real deal, but the Trojans have plenty of questions to answer after losing to the Cardinal early on.

Last season at this point, USC was feeling good about a big win over Stanford, taking an early hold on the Pac-12. Now, it looks like Washington and Stanford are the teams to beat from the conference while Arizona State is making a surge from a distance after upsetting Michigan State.

Can the Trojans bounce back and jump into the top 20 again in the coming weeks? Right now, the offense is searching for an identity.
