Aaron Rodgers may have suffered a broken fibula in tonight’s game against the rival Bears. How long will it take for their messiah to heal?

Aaron Rodgers riding on the cart to the locker room was not a sight Green Bay Packer fans wanted to see.

After getting drilled to the ground by Chicago Bears defensive end Roy Robertson-Harris, Rodgers didn’t get back up, a terrifying sight for all of Wisconsin and Packers Nation.

Having to be helped to the sidelines by his teammates, the packed house at Lambeau Field got an even worse sight when Rodgers had to go under the “blue tent.” He emerged from the tent, only to have to take the cart to the locker room; and with that, the DeShone Kizer era began, and Packers fans officially went on “Rodgers Watch.”

Now, we have to stress that it is not clear as to what injury Rodgers actually sustained, but since he was favoring his left leg, we can get a general sense that he suffered a fibula injury.

“What is a fibula?” you ask?

According to Wikipedia, the fibula is the calf bone that is located beside the tibia (which could also be broken), or, to put it a simple way, it’s the outside leg bone. This was the area Rodgers was favoring, and if it’s broken, he could be out for, at the very least, eight to 12 weeks.

That’s most of the season, which means a lot of praying in the altar in Lambeau that Kizer can keep the ship intact. Right now, though, that doesn’t seem to be the case, and if Rodgers is out for a significant amount of time, the Packers’ season will have the potential to go up in flames.

Again, this is all speculation as we don’t know what he has officially suffered yet. When we do, be sure that we will be all over it here at FanSided.
