2019 NFL Mock Draft: Justin Herbert heads to Giants
By Brad Weiss
What is happening to the Dallas Cowboys? Ever since earning the best record in the NFC two years ago, and hosting a playoff game, the Cowboys have been moving in the wrong direction, and they got off to a rough start to 2018.
Playing on the road against the Carolina Panthers, the Cowboys offense did absolutely nothing, which is a surprise considering Ezekiel Elliott is back at running back. Quarterback Dak Prescott struggled all game long against the Panthers defense, and the Cowboys mustered only eight points in the contest.
On defense, the Cowboys played much better than their offensive counterparts, though there is still work that needs to be done there. When it comes time to draft in April, they could be picking early in round one, as they look like the worst team in the NFC East through the first week of the season.
One player who could help them immediately up front on defense is Dexter Lawrence, who is a member of the best defensive line in college football at Clemson. Lawrence is a monster of a player who can really clog up the middle of the line, while also possessing the athleticism to make things happen in the backfield.
