The Pittsburgh Steelers were supposed to go into Cleveland and throttle the Browns in Week 1, as they made their statement that they were once again the best team in the AFC North. Well, that did not happen, despite a solid effort from running back James Connor, who is taking over for LeāVeon Bell, who continues to hold out.
Maybe it was the lack of Bell, or the fact that the Browns are no longer a pushover, but the Steelers have some work to do to get this thing figured out. The odds are they will be one of the last teams standing in the AFC, and that this is just a hiccup, but it was a divisional game, and the Baltimore Ravens looked very good on Sunday.
When it comes to the Steelers, they have one of the best collections of talent on the offensive side of the ball in football, and that is even without Bell in the fold. However, they need a legitimate pass-catching tight end, and they could get one this late in round one in UCLA tight end Caleb Wilson.
Wilson is the kind of tight end that offensive coordinators covet, as he has good speed, and also is not afraid to go over the middle. He would be a perfect target for Ben Roethlisberger in the passing game, giving the Steelers just another weapon that defenses have to game plan for week in, and week out.
