2019 NFL Mock Draft: Justin Herbert heads to Giants

The Oakland Raiders kicked off the latest Jon Gruden Era with a big thud on Monday night, as they were blasted by the Los Angeles Rams at home. The Raiders hung in for the first half, taking a 13-10 lead into the locker room, but it was all Rams after the break, as they won the game 33-13.
For the Raiders, there were a ton of things that went wrong on Monday night, including some sub-par play from quarterback Derek Carr. If the Raiders are to do anything this season, they need Carr to play at an MVP-type level, and he was anything but that against the Rams.
Another major issue was the pass rush, as the absence of Khalil Mack was very evident during their Week 1 matchup. With their first round selection in 2019, or the first of their two first round picks, they should fill that void, and Rashan Gary from Michigan would be a nice selection early in round one.
Gary is the kind of guy who can play all over the line, and is one of the best in college football at getting the edge. Oakland does have rookie Arden Key and veteran Bruce Irvin at the defensive end position in 2018, but adding a player like Gary would make it a very formidable position group moving forward.
