Flex: James Connor, Pittsburgh Steelers

vs. Kansas City Chiefs, Sunday 1:00 p.m.

FanDuel Cost: $7,000

Connor’s week one performances wasn’t a fluke as he is very comfortable operating in this offense. He’s a solid all-around back who can run with power and catch the ball out of the backfield.

The Steelers seem to trust their young running back giving him 36 touches in the opening weekend.

Le’Veon Bell could potentially report to camp at any moment, but the writing on the wall suggests he’s going to miss multiple games. This is one of the great things about daily fantasy football. You don’t have to worry about the long-term and just run with Connor while he’s the starter.

Backup Option: Jarvis Landry, Cleveland Browns

@ New Orleans Saints, Sunday 1:00 p.m.

FanDuel Cost: $6,700

Jarvis Landry had 16 targets in the Cleveland Browns opening game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. His heavy workload is no surprise, but came in a game that had terrible weather and not ideal for the passing game.

The big take away here is that Landry is a major part of the Browns offensive attack. He should continue to get similar targets as the season progresses.

Another take is that this Browns team is very different with Tyrod Taylor under center. They actually have a functional offense that can move the ball. This week they take on a young New Orleans Saints defense that was exposed against the Buccaneers.

The game is being played in New Orleans which is in a dome so no weather issues to worry about.
