Houston Texans @ Tennessee Titans (-1)

This game actually doesn’t have a line in the Westgate sports book. We had to take this line from Unibet, which is the only book that is giving this a line. That’s thanks to the uncertainty surround almost every big-name player on the Titans.

Right now, Marcus Mariota is probably holding this line up, but for now we will go forth using the Titans as a one-point favorite. Mariota is still getting tests done on his elbow, so even if he gets cleared he will be doing it on a short week practice wise. The Texans, meanwhile, have something to prove after a sloppy start against the Patriots. Bill O’Brien wants to avoid his odds of first coach fired from going up.

Deshaun Watson was clearly rusty after missing most of the year with a torn ACL. He made stupid mistakes, while struggling in the first half to move the ball. He will look to come out of the gates swinging to prove last year wasn’t a fluke. With the injuries on Tennessee, they aren’t worth the bet. DO NOT TRUST BLAINE GABBERT!

Philadelphia Eagles (-3) @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Philadelphia Eagles did not look great despite winning their opening game. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers looked like world-beaters in their first game. Despite both coming out with wins, the feeling among the fan bases were very different. I mean, the Eagles fans booed the home team. They just won the Super Bowl!

Some may think this line is overlooking Tampa’s Week 1 performance, but that isn’t the case. These teams are still on different scales talent wise. Even without Carson Wentz and Alshon Jeffery, you still want the Eagles roster as a whole.

That’s especially true with DeSean Jackson possibly missing the game against his former team. Losing that weapon will hurt Ryan Fitzpatrick. This line may look weird, but go with the defending champs.
