5. Liverpool stun Tottenham at Wembley

The boldest of this weekend’s predictions has been saved for last, as we look at Liverpool’s trip to play Tottenham at Wembley. The Reds have a 100 percent record after four matches and are looking like a side that can truly challenge for the title.

They’ve looked their usual attacking selves but at the same time, and perhaps more importantly, Liverpool have looked clinical in tighter games. They ground out a 2-0 win at Crystal Palace and managed to withstand the pressure as they won 2-1 at Leicester.

While powerful attacking performances are great to watch and more fondly remembered, it’s these gritty victories that determine who will win the Premier League title. Tottenham slipped at Watford last matchweek while Liverpool took three points in a difficult away match.

This is undeniably the match of the weekend and it has the potential to be something special. More often than not this would be a very tight match, but, desperate to atone for their embarrassment at Wembley last season, this more resilient Liverpool could just stun Spurs with an amazing display.

An early Liverpool goal will disrupt Tottenham’s game plan and from then on it will be a Liverpool masterclass, led by Mohamed Salah. The Egyptian forward will produce a majestic performance and help his side to a stunning 4-0 victory.

In Liverpool’s “almost” season in 2013-14, they were rampant at White Hart Lane, albeit against a weaker Spurs side than they will face this Saturday. However, something similar could be on the cards this weekend.
