Mixed Tag Team Match

Daniel Bryan & Brie Bella vs. The Miz & Maryse

What we learned: I think we learned here that WWE isn’t going to let Daniel Bryan get the better of The Miz until he officially signs that new contract. But maybe that’s just me. Otherwise, we learned nothing here. Absolutely nothing. As someone who never wanted to see this match at all, it played out exactly like I thought it would.

This is the match that should have gone on after Rollins/Ambrose vs. Ziggler/McIntyre, especially after seeing how boring this whole thing was. Daniel Bryan and The Miz handled the majority of the duties inside the ring … when they were actually wrestling anyway and not just taunting or staring off. This match went on way too long, and it took close to 10 minutes before Brie Bella and Maryse were officially involved in the match. I don’t know if creative thought that build was supposed to be exciting or that we were waiting to see that but I got nothing out of it.

The ending was a little surprising as Maryse rolled up Brie to pick up the victory for her team, but it couldn’t come soon enough. I don’t mind mixed tags at all, but this one just wasn’t entertaining.

What’s next: My feeling is that we will see Daniel Bryan and The Miz go one-on-one again in the very near future. Brie Bella is booked to tag with her sister and Ronda Rousey to take on the Riott Squad in Australia, so at least we don’t have to sit through this monstrosity again.
